The aim of the performing arts course is to give all those taking part regardless of experience the chance to
learn the disciplines of
dance drama and singing.
You may
want to refresh skills obtained earlier in training
experience a missed ambition or
simply attend for enjoyment and make new friends.
The three
hour course takes place over 12 Sunday's from 2pm-5pm consisting of
three separate 55 minute classes
As this course is held on a Sunday afternoon, it can easily be
fitted into
current jobs, careers and schedules.
Students
applying to join the course do not have to audition, enrolment is based
on application.
The 12 week intensive course begins with six weeks of
training in a variety of styles of dance, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, vocal training and drama sessions in improvisation and script work, this is followed by six weeks preparation for two
performances, a drama / singers showcase and an end of term musical
performance of vocal and dance numbers
For the end of term showcase students are assigned dedicated
teachers who will craft routines and scenes to prepare you for your performances.
Every student gets the opportunity to perform, whether an absolute beginner
starting from scratch or a more advanced student looking for a refresher.

Musical Theatre Course
This
course has been designed to give students age 16+, a rounded training covering
the
many aspects of Musical Theatre. Suitable for the student looking to audition
for
full time college, an agent or professional work and also perfect for the enthusiastic
mature student with a good basic background of performing arts subjects!
The
training will cover, audition technique, text and character work, training in dance and singing, incorporating
performance
through song and musical interpretation. Students will deepen their understanding and
technique in key areas of performance, the skills are
developed each week as the
students work towards an end of term showcase.
Musical Theatre repertoire from West End and Broadway
shows past and present will form a large part of the training taught by professional
performing currently in working in London’s West End
