EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
Youth at Pineapple (y@p) is a group of young energetic and vibrant performers
that constitute our professional troupe. Their CV extends from BBC programmes
such as Top of the Pops and Blue
Peter to such high profile events as Activ8, Proms in the Park, The Regent Street
Parade and Street Dance Weekend. These dancers have all studied with PPAS and
represent our most talented and enthusiastic performers because of their drive,
determination and energy. y@p deliver a top level performance every time.
y@p are currently visiting young performers in their schools. For more information
regarding our y@p in schools project and to tailor a workshop that fits your
school’s individual needs, contact our Corporate Events Co-ordinator Jas
Bridges. In additional the troupe can also booked for other corporate work and
engagements such as parties and project launches.
OUTREACH – YOUTH DIVERSION PROJECT
PPAS has a long association with the Metropolitan Police in offering diversion
workshops in targeted underprivileged areas. These workshops often represent
first contact for many individuals with a meaningful project or a creative discipline.
It helps to develop talents and interests beyond the limits
of economic means and availability.
These projects can often build strength of character and a feeling of responsibility,
helping young people learn about their particular stresses, anger management,
learning and social difficulties and can enhance team building and communication
skills.
PPAS is seeking to expand and develop its programme of diversion projects. We
are interested in hearing from any Community Links officers who would like to
offer a cohort of students the opportunity to take part in one of our workshops.
