Singing Teachers

Will Barrat

Will has appeared in many West End shows, after graduating from the Royal Academy of Music. He has just finished appearing in ‘The War of the Worlds’ at the Dominion Theatre, prior to which he starred as Bob Crewe in ‘The Jersey Boys’.

Some of Will’s West End credits include ‘The Producers’ (appearing as Lead Tenor and also covering the roles of Leo/Carmen), ‘Les Miserables’ (playing Bamatabois, and understudying Enjolras), ‘Carousel (as the Heavenly Friend/Ensemble and understudying and playing the role of Mr Snow) and ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ (playing Raoul). He has also performed with Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton in ‘Sweeney Todd’ at the Chichester Festival Theatre before transferring to the West End.

Will has also played such roles as Judas in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, Jimmy Powers in ‘City of Angels’ and Roscoe/Patrick in ‘Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens’. He has performed in various concert and cabaret events, such as the launch event for Nazneen’s album, ‘Can’t Clip My Wings’ (606 Club), Nadim Naaman’s cabaret (at The Pheasantry) and the launch of Naaman’s album, ‘We All Want The Same’ (Union Theatre). He has appeared on the Eurovision Song Contest and performed several times at The Hippodrome Casino in the all-male singing group, The 4Tunes. He has also recorded the track ‘Jaded’ for writer/lyricist Robert Gould’s album, Words Shared With Friends.

Nadine Cox (Head Of Singing)

Nadine has taught at PPAS since the very beginning, she also teaches vocal classes for London Theatre Tours and at The London Studio Centre. Her performance credits include UK tours of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (playing the narrator) and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Nadine’s West End credits include, The Full Monty, first cast of Wicked and Billy Elliot (Gielgud).

Lily Anne Tello

Lily Tello made her West End Debut at the age of 8 playing Charity in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Whistle Down the Wind‘ at the Aldwych Theatre. After many TV/FILM Credits (30 Episodes + ‘The Hoobs‘ Channel 4, Simon Peggs Daughter in ‘Big Train‘ BBC, Warner Bothers ‘Chasing Liberty‘ SKY1 Hairspray: The School Musical) Lily then went on to train at the London School of Musical Theatre.

Lily is now a Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist in Rock/Pop Girlband ‘The Flicks’. They have just finished supporting singer Marc Almond on Tour are releasing their first single in the New Year!

She loves teaching at Pineapple and watching all the children grow in confidence every week!

Lance Ellington

Lance is the son of legendary 1950’s bandleader Ray Ellington, his elegant vocal style has been in great demand from the world’s top recording artists, having worked with the crème de la crème of artists such as Sting, Michael Jackson , Tina Turner, Freddie Mercury , Lionel Richie , George Michael, Paul Carrack ,Take That and Robbie Williams.

Lance is currently one of the singers behind the hugely successful global TV phenomena that is Strictly Come Dancing both on TV and the Live Tour

Lance has also worked in concert alongside George Benson, Natalie Cole and James Brown and Gary Barlow

Aside from being heard on numerous Film and TV projects like X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent and Grease is the Word. Lance also appeared as his father in the movie The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, starring alongside Geoffrey Rush and Charlize Theron .and that gave him the inspiration to record his first album Lessons In Love and the second one There Comes a Time.

Lance has also received platinum and gold discs for his song-writing for Steps and Westlife.

Amanda Posener

Amanda trained at Mountview Theatre School Her West End credits include Dancing in the Streets (Playhouse), Caroline, or Change (National Theatre), Rent (original cast Shaftesbury),Denny Blood in Bad Girls the Musical (Garrick) 125th Street (Shaftesbury) and Avenue Q.

She was also in the Original Cast of The Lion King (Hamburg). As well as Theatre work, Amanda is also a singer songwriter. One of her recent tunes can be found on Hedkandi’s Kandi Lounge 2009 album.
