The senior school is ideal for those wanting to extend their dance knowledge, prepare to audition for Dance or Drama School or simply to make like minded friends, have fun and physically work hard in a professional supportive atmosphere.
All seniors school students work towards a West End performance. Students also perform regularly each term in a variety of events. These performances vary from guest performers at charity events, paid corporate work for prestigious organisations, or in our own in-house productions at a variety of London theatres.
We are proud to be based at the most famous Dance Studio in the world (Pineapple Dance Studios) right in the heart of theatreland; with our connection to the studios and the industry we are able to offer all our students, regardless of their age and experience, an extensive variety of top quality teachers in Dance, Drama and Singing.
The Pineapple building comes alive with excitement every Sunday afternoon as our Senior School students (aged 11-17) start arriving from all over the country to participate in the 3 hour dedicated sessions with top industry professionals in all areas of Dance and Performing Arts.
These sessions of operate during the school academic term time and run every Sunday for 12 weeks.

What we offer our senior school is very unique, with so many classes on offer for our teenagers to choose from we can guarantee that your child will get the best possible training and performance opportunities whether a beginner or more experienced dancer.
There is always an amazing street dance session on offer every hour for every age group or students can choose to take any of the following dance classes.

Drama

Our Drama Tutors are all working professional actors, writers and directors, with many years’ experience not just as actors, but also as teachers working with all age groups from our little pineapple chunks right up to the adults students.
Under the expert guidance of a skilled and friendly team of tutors, our senior students will learn, through various theatre games, exercises, set tasks and improvisations, how to cooperate in large and small groups, as well as how to concentrate themselves.
Improvisations in the senior school will be more challenging than the junior school in terms of emotional truth and developing well-rounded characters. With older children, it offers a chance to explore some concepts like friendship or loyalty; or they get a sense of other people’s experience by imaginatively “walking a mile in their shoes”.
Pre-written and even writing their own text will be introduced, they will also learn how to stay calm and relax on stage, how to speak clearly at stage volume without shouting, and how to learn and recite simple pieces of text, as well as the discipline of being on stage.
Singing
Singing
The singing classes at PPAS cover many styles from Musical Theatre to Gospel and Pop. Our tutors are all professional performers many have performed in a whole host of West End Shows or have worked as cabaret or recording artists on national TV here in the UK and abroad, not only are they experienced performers but all have a many years of experience in coaching children, teenagers and adults at all levels.
Our singing classes are designed to encourage students to become confident performers, supported by solid technical training in posture, breathing, projection, harmony and ensemble work. The sessions are broken up into vocal warm up, technique and performance based preparation.

Once you’re enrolled on any of our senior school courses, you can attend any class from 3pm - 6pm. That means you can choose to participate in 12 different classes on Sunday! Our timetable Consisting of Street Dance, Commercial, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Drama & Singing. *Note our timetable will change every week which will include a variety of industry guest teachers*
